Reception Counter


Project 3 is to build a miniature reception counter which is integrated with our sem 5 design project. My design project is about coffee house boutique hotel name: caffeine house boutique hotel. 

My design concept is come from the tagline “back to the basic” to create a space with the welcoming environment. Combine the past and present Malaysia coffee culture to design a rustic and modern style hotel. The reception counter is designed based on the rough material which are concrete, steel, wire mesh and I beam.

Minor Project 2: UNIQUE + RE-THINK

In second minor project which is group work. 3 student team in group for the sustainable book rackmade with recycle material. After discuss the design of the book rack, we start to find the recycle material which is pallet from the factory near university.

The idea of boo rack is extend from the octagon so we name the book rack as compactagon (Compact + octagon.this assignment take our few week to finish it, the difficult part of this boo rack is the angle. we need to measure probably to make sure the pallet can screw together.

Minor project 1: Starter pack


Starter pack minor first assignment is looking into the history of furniture over six decades who from the 1990s to current around the world. We need to choose a particular piece of furniture between the 1950s to 2000’s. In addition, we need to constructed to the almost exact dimensions and detailing with a matching look alike. In this assignment, I choose Borgen Mogense’s Spanish chair as my miniature model.

History of Berge Mogensen
Borge Mogensen was one of the most important among a generation of furniture designer who made the concept of “Danish modern” known throughout the world.  Mogensen created international respect for Danish furniture design, and his simple and functional designs have for more than half a century enjoyed worldwide demand.


History and detail of Spanish chair
The back and seat of this chair are fastened by thick leather straps, a design popular in old Spanish chair. The overall impression of this chair is forceful, yet it also has excellent details. Mogensen’s work are characterized by a strong, simple presence, beautiful lines, and a high level of comfort
